Where to Find Repo Cars For Sale

Most everybody like to get a great deal, especially when they can save thousands of dollars.  This is the case when you buy repo cars for sale.  Of course, nothing is free, so you have to make up for the money you save, in the effort you put into finding the awesome bargain.  But finding a good repo car is definitely worth the effort put in.

First to find a repo car, you have to find where the auctions are.  And you have to find out the laws in your state regarding these auctions.  In some states in order to attend repo car auctions, you have to have a car dealer’s license.  But don’t worry, even if you don’t have a dealer’s license, I will show you how you can take part in these awesome deals.

One of the things you have to do, is start making friends with local car dealers.  It is best to do this regardless of the laws in your state.  You don’t need a ton of car dealer friends, just three or four.  You can do this by visiting their place of business, talk with them, share your interest in perhaps buying a car, but be sure that nothing on their lot fits your specifications.  Visit them several times until you feel like you have a rapport with them and can judge their character.  You don’t want a sleaze ball for your representative in this.  Now after you have a good relationship with this person, you start talking about the repo cars auction in your area.  Find out about them, whether or not you have to have a license, when they are held, where they are held, etc.  Now, you are not trying to get something for free from this person, you will pay them for their efforts as well.  Don’t be a slime ball yourself and expect they will just give you their secrets  that feeds their family!

Ask them if they will take you to an auction to help you pick out a car.  They will of course get paid something for doing this (but it won’t be nearly as much as if it was coming off the lot).  After you have been to a few auctions (and if the law doesn’t require a license) you can thank the dealer for all the information give them a little bit of money (a hundred or so dollars should do it so you still have  a friend if you need him) and go at it yourself.  Who knows, maybe you’ll make a business of it yourself!
